Did you know that the ATO may have one address on record for your Activity Statements and a different one for your income tax?
This is because they do not update your addresses regarding activity statements; only addresses for income tax are updated at the ATO. If this is something that you prefer, then nothing needs to be done. However, if you want to ensure that your mailing address is the same for both activity statements and Income Tax, then you need to update your addresses in the Business Portal, the Australian Business Register at www.abr.gov.au, or by phoning the ATO on 132866.
Of course, your BAS Agent or bookkeeper can do this for you if you have provided authority for them to speak to the ATO on your behalf.
